As an Air Force dependent, Dawna moved to Fayetteville when she was in the 7th grade. She graduated from Westover High School and then Methodist University. She is married to Nathan, an Army veteran, and together they have four children. They have lived all over the United States and have finally returned to Fayetteville to live near family. 

Although a born again, Spirit-filled christian from a young age, in 2015 Dawna realized that there had to be more to God than she understood. She began a quest to truly know and experience God in a real and intimate way. After she said, “Yes!” to whatever an all-in relationship with God would mean, her life changed forever as she encountered the Father and began to really know Him. He led her on an ever-deepening journey that opened her eyes to the movement of the Holy Spirit in the church today just like in the first century church. “If God is moving, then I am going to move with Him!” she said. This eventually landed her at River House Church, where she has found her spiritual family, challenging transformational growth, and her calling to church administration. Dawna is happy taking care of the details that allow Pastors Stacy, Casey, and Claire to do what they do best-discipling and nurturing people while fostering an open-heaven atmosphere of the presence of God.
