Our goal is not for your child to be “babysat”. Our goal is to minister to your child in the same way that Jesus would minister to them. Making eye contact, using affirming words of love and identity, gently correcting wrong attitudes and creatively facilitating and teaching God’s loving character and truths.

All River House staff and volunteers are thoroughly vetted with Protect My Ministry’s state and national background check. Every staff and volunteer must complete a comprehensive training in preventing and recognizing all forms of child abuse.

Your Children Experience God
The greatest gift you can ever give your child is an encounter with the presence of the living God. It changes their heart, fills them with love, affirms their identity and causes them to long to be like the one they encountered.
Our children’s staff teach Biblical lessons in fun and creative ways. In addition to being taught Biblical facts and truths, our children also learn in age appropriate ways to recognize God’s voice and practice affirming each other with God’s words.
We keep our older children in worship with us so that they can experience His presence and learn to give intimacy back to God.
Prophetic Painting
God speaks in so many creative ways and one way is through the arts. Our children usually take turns during worship painting a picture while the musicians play. Often they think they are just painting whatever they want, but when it is finished, we often find that the picture they painted was exactly what God had been speaking or exactly what the sermon was going to be about.
There is no more affirming thing than your child to discover that God speaks personally to them and through them.
